Unreal 4.26 brings several enhancements to the Movie Render Queue. With a new improved interface, it is now easier to visualize your queued camera shots, allowing you to choose which camera sequence you want included in your final outputs. This week on Inside Unreal, Matt and Andy will give you a crash course and cover advanced topics such as post-production workflows, python scripting, best practices and troubleshooting tips!

Hi! Thank you for tutorial. I get ghosty blurry effect between camera shots. The first frame is blurry and all the frames between shots. Do you know how to solve that problem?

I'd love to know how to get MRQ to play nice with Composure and not just Sequencer. Currently I get washed out renders with MRQ (they are fine in sequencer rendering) and I cannot get stencil layers to work. I keep getting the error "Multiple render passes exported but no {render_pass} format found. Automatically adding!

If anybody gets criptomatte working in resolve/Fusion I'd like to your nodes! I got the criptomatte node via reactor but I can't get any good results yet.

Cryptomask is also not production ready. Multiple objects share the same Object-ID which defeats the purpose to isolate objects. Sometimes its working and the cryptomask comes out correct but its a 50% chance that you will have two objects complete different from another, share the same Object-ID.

Motion vector pass is broken on our end on 4.26.1 . It does not show any motion in the pass even with lots of elements moving in the shot. Any ideas ?Followed all instructions in the documentation but no success.

Please record your screen in 4k. at 15 minutes, the settings discussed are completely illegible.

your presenters have a bad habit of not explaining Why a change was made. "You can do this now" and it seems minor, but at the beginning you said that the usage cases/statistics influenced why you decided to improve or change features. So you need to explain why you made it so that, for example, version can not be custom-changed. Why? Explain what makes it valuable. Explain who it helps. Give an example! Just anything at all.

Game Overrides do absolutely nothing for me, I'm still getting virtual camera UI in the renders, even when I override that here or World Settings. Also, no ProRes at all on Mac, only in Windows (how ironic). Clues?

I'm trying to do Stencil / Render Layers with the eagle in the MeerkatDemo, but the groom system is missing in the output, any idea how to add it? imgur.com/NAKaZHA

I would like to know some thing about file after render. Why render preview isn't the same render passes? I see something in the picture have a grow over in render preview. How to fix it the same render preview?

I wanna to create a city in Unreal Engine but, If I were to create a straight road or the same road looping itself : then I can use Spline tool to shape my road and make a straight or looping road but, How to create a road network ? Like now its is a straight road but there is a left turn so sidewalk could not be there and vice-versa to left side. Please do a livestream Please Please or suggest me any course or any tutorial. While this is an amazing step in the right direction, this isn't a functional workflow for most filmmakers as most video cards don't have enough VRAM to not crash the editor. Even the new RTX3090 barely has enough VRAM to manage multiple characters with maximum texture maps on top of landscapes and worlds rendered with raytracing at 4K and high temporal aliasing. I imagine most of the output we'll see come from modified versions of the engine or specialty Nvidia rigs. I would say MOST users will be crashing their GPU during export if their scenes are anywhere shy of empty.

​@Compu Tron I feel that. I can live with the render times, as at least you'll get an output, but I don't see any way forward without the VRAM due to the crashing.

@Matt Baamonde I have a 2080Ti as well, and it's definitely crashing with ray tracing and the render queue. You're 100% right about the vram. I might upgrade to the 3090 when the price is reasonable, but the render times are not looking great with less than 8 temporal samples and a good amount of objects in the scene.

@Compu Tron I have 2080ti but it crashes most of the time. The 2080 would be technically fine if it had more VRAM as the raytracing specs are fast enough for these renders. Literally NVidia has been bottlenecking the vram issue for years. The only cards capable of solving this are Quadro 5000+, RTX Titans, or the 3090 now. The 24gb of the 3090 should be enough for most renders now but they are in a silicon shortage thats crushing the industry and scalping the prices.

@Matt Baamonde Do you have the 3090? I was thinking about upgrading but I have noticed several issues with the render queue workflow. Larger scenes with ray tracing are definitely crashing during rendering, and the rendering itself takes a "long" time with a few temporal subsamples even when the projects are not using ray tracing.

@Walt Kart I agree. The problem is Nvidia marks up those cards to such an (totally unnecessary) exorbitant degree that they are unaffordable to most consumers. They basically eliminate a market of potential developers and creatives who would buy cards if they were realistically priced.

you should be careful while naming your files and output paths.. I have had no issues rendering 4k res sequence images! also check @ 31:00
